What a blessing it is to be alive in this generation when we are
experiencing the supernatural move of God. In spite of all the bad news
you hear on TV or news paper these days, you can't ignore but see the move
of God that is touching and changing lives. Millions of people primarily
from Asia and around the world are responding to the gospel because of the
sincere hunger to know the truth that will set them free.
Cambodia and Vietnam
missions report
The mission trip to Cambodia and Vietnam was very fruitful. Harvest
now is making a vital difference in these countries and God is showing up
to prove Himself strong. Our team of five women went in to bring life,
love and encouragement to the Church, to the orphans and specifically to
the women. We enjoyed giving out toys, candy, clothes and lot's of
vitamins; but the greatest part of the trip was to see the Lord touching
people’s hearts as we taught the word of God, laid hands on people and
prayed for them. We will never forget one woman that came from the Mekong
Delta area. With great emotion and tears in her eyes, she expressed the
importance hosting such meetings for women in ministry. As she thanked us
deeply, she also said that she would have wished that many more of her
friends and co- workers could have come.
Conferences
in India, Nepal & Bhutan
Today (October 29 - Nov 20) I am leaving for India and the
Himalayas regions of Nepal and Bhutan for two weeks of ministry. Four
missions’ conferences are planned for India, Nepal, Bhutan and Sikkim for
pastors, leaders and missions’ co coordinators are coming to these special
events to worship God and to catch a "Fresh Fire of Revival" to impact
these nations.
We need your prayer and support as we go about doing our Fathers
business.
Helping the orphans in
India
My name is Lalan. I come from a Santhal tribal background that has
been for living in the dense forest of interior regions in
India. My tribe follows the Hindu religion of animal sacrifice and
worship. When I was 2 years old, my father was accidentally killed
during a tribal hunting festival. My mother works as a dishwasher and
breaks stones on the roadside. My home is a thatch hut by the road side. I
really wanted to learn to read and write but I could not as my mother did
not send me to school as she was too poor to spend on anything else except
food.
A year ago something good happened in our lives. A missionary from Harvest
NOW came and prayed for us. They told us about the living God and his son
Jesus Christ, and how God wanted everyone to be happy and free. The
missionary visited us more frequently and after a couple of months there
was a small gathering in our village to praise and worship God. And so it
was Jesus Christ came into our lives on the thatch hut by the roadside. My
mother committed and accepted Jesus as her Savior and Lord. Our ‘hut’ is
now used to run the “Sunday school” for the children. I am slowly learning
how to read and write in Bengali. Last week God helped me to come to one
of the orphanages cared for by Harvest NOW in India. Now I have an
opportunity for better education and learn more about the love of Jesus
Christ. Will you please pray for my mother who is a widow and my two
other sisters so that they too can have a better life? I know God will
help them.
On behalf
of all our missionaries, training centers, churches and orphans in Asia,
thank you from the bottom of our hearts for praying and partnering with
Harvest NOW.
