  Merry Christmas from Harvest NOW

Dear friends and partners,

Warm Christmas greetings from all of our families at Harvest Now Inc.  As we think about the wonderful message of Christmas, our hearts get excited about it each year, over and over again.  We truly have so much to celebrate!  This has been a great year of Harvest and each month the gospel has been preached to the nations of the world.

Our recent trip to India and the Himalayan region was very fruitful. We had two teams, one from the States and one from Malaysia. We hosted conferences for the Pastors and leaders in 4 different locations.  Many of our missionaries were able to come to these meetings as well and receive a touch from God in their lives.  The theme of our conferences was "In His Presence" this is the most important thing to our hearts; the Lord has brought us into this in the last 4 years. People traveled great distances to come to these meetings.  Many walked for 8 hours one way, through the mountains of Nepal and Bhutan and crossed India's borders to come.  We are always so touched by the hunger in the heart of God's people from these regions.

We drove thousands of kilometers on Indian roads. It is always an experience that cannot be described. Thousands of people are on the road walking. Cows, goats, chickens and ducks often wander on these roads. Keep in mind large trucks without brakes, at night with no lights in the front or back, bicycles, motorbikes and every other thing you could imagine are also on the road.

We visited a few of the orphanages started and cared for by Harvest NOW.  All of the children are doing so well. God is helping us to provide the best care possible for all these children.  Thank you for praying for the orphans and widows in India and the Himalayas.  

During this Christmas season, our missionaries all over Asia will be preaching and holding evangelistic meetings, telling people of the, “First Christmas” two thousand years ago. Eighty percent of Asia’s 3.6 billion people have never heard the name of Jesus.  It is the best time of the year to bring people to Jesus because Asians love to celebrate and their hearts are open to hear of the story behind the celebration.  An important part of reaching out to the children and their families is providing a special Christmas meal and a gift for each child.  

In 2008 we are planning to have several feeding programs and to give 1,000 pairs of shoes to very poor children in different countries. Millions of children do not own a pair of shoes.  The total cost of this project will be $7,000.00 

We are also planning to send an additional 10,000 Bibles for the believers in China.  Would you please pray and consider giving towards “Bibles for China” project?
